Project stats - 33,000 ft of sawn oak lathe, 18 tonnes of lime plaster.

St Peters Church, Tunbridge Wells, kent.

Installation of 3 coat hydraulic lime plaster after dry rot treatment.

This section of the gothic archway was replaced by hand using traditional skills.

Completed archway.

Project duration - 2 months.

Project spec - 3 coat non-hydraulic lime plaster system to hardwood lathes. 3 coat system to arched wall.

Project stats - 7 tonnes lime plaster.
This project was of particular interest as it involved a straight run of 8 gothic archways all turned by hand using traditional methods.

An Advanced Plastering operative carefully cutting and mixing hair in to the 1st coat plaster ,soon to be applied to well dampened lathes.

Grade II listed property in Penshurst ,kent.
Project duration - (4 visits) over 6 weeks.

Project spec - 3 coat non hydraulic lime plaster (with the inclusion of a pozzalanic agent) to riven chestnut lathes.

Project stats - 1.2 tonnes lime plaster.
Grade II listed building, Hastings, East Sussex.
Project duration - 2 months

Project spec - 2 coat hydraulic lime mortar render to front and side elevation.

Grade II listed building, Brenchley, Kent.

Project duration - 6 weeks.

Project spec - 3 coat non hydraulic lime plaster to hardwood lathes.
Grade II listed building, formerly St Christians Hospital, Tonbridge, Kent.

This project involved 3 coat non hydraulic lime system to lathes in excess of 600m2 to ceilings ( not for the faint hearted).

Project duration : 8 months.


1st coat haired mortar applied to damp lathes.
Grade II listed Goergian building, Cumberland Walk, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Replacement of failed old lime mortar, in the kitchen.The general conditions of the existing lathes was very good with about a 10% replacement needed. A three coat hydraulic lime system was then plastered on. Our head plasterer Mr Steve Large is seen here 1st coating the lathes.

Grade II listed Tudor farm house, Forest Row, East Sussex.

Non hydraulic lime plaster system to riven chestnet lathes, internally 3 coats and externally two coats.

This interesting shot is upwards looking under a stair case winder.These continual curves running up at 180 degrees are extremely difficult to master as all is done free hand and requires a keen eye and great skill.One that has been mastered by a several of our staff. This shows the 1st coat of three.

A beutifully finished stair case winder, finished off using fine and well matured Buxton lime putty and fine fiishing sand.

HAIRY PLASTER, this interesting shot of a ceiling and side of beam shows the well haired 1st coat to lathes, stressing the importance of the need for an abundance of hair within the 1st coat mix.
Restoration of daub panels at the Hilden manor. Here we see one of our operatives placing freshly mixed daub on site into to repair area.

Completed placement of new daub. This will now need 2 to 3 weeks drying time before a haired lime finish is appied.
